What is an angle head milling cutter?

An angle head is a driven tool holder that mounts in the spindle like any other tool. Inside, a set of hardened, ground gears turns the spindle's rotation through 90° (fixed) or through an adjustable 0–90° range, driving a collet or side-lock output at the new angle. Precision bearings keep runout low so the redirected cut stays rigid.
